I dont think anyone in my family is a veteran. I think they should be allowed to take off of work and spend time with their families.

no, and with respect considering they risked everything for our country,

my grandfather was in the military so I would honor him for this veterans day

I don't think anyone in my family served in the military that is a veteran, but a way to honor the ones that are, is to help the current members in the military get home safe and back to their families.

My uncle was in the military for a couple of years. I'm not sure for how long, but he is my hero and I've never been closer to any other family member like I'm close with him. Even though I don't get to see him too much, every time that I do I remember how lucky I am to have him here.

i can't recall if i had any family members in the military. But if i did, i would honor them for protecting us.

No I don't. I think they should be but don't agree with it in the first place.

Yes, my step-grandfather. He passed away, late of last year. We should honor them on this day, and let them rest. They've already fought our country, for us all. They should be permitted this day of rest. That's the least we could do for them. We should honor them with all the kindness in our hearts as well. What they do for us shouldn't just be looked at with nothing more than a bat of the eye. They deserve respect, regardless if you agree with their actions or not.

I don't think I have anyone on my family who is a veteran. If I did I would honor them by remembering their fearlessness and be thankful for what they are doing for me, my family and everyone on the U.S.

No i don't have anyone in my family who is a veteran. And not to sound rude but i find no point in this holiday. most people use it as a excuse to take off of work. People already have holidays coming up and thats when taking time is a good idea. 1 day isnt going to ruin your life if you don't take off.

my brother was in the marines, hes pretty cool. but i think they should be honored because they do something everyday that everyone takes for granted they want to serve this country, they are no longer chosen they gave up many things to help this country and that's truly amazing!

My Grandfather was a veteran; he fought in WWII. My cousin Frankie is an Army veteran, and did two tours in Afghanistan. Also, my boyfriend is a Private First Class in the Marine Corps. I feel veterans, and their families should be honored on this day by being able to take the day to celebrate the lives of those who served, or continue to serve.

I'm not exactly sure if i have someone in my family but i do know about 8 or 9 teachers in my school that served and one was supposed to be my freshman gym teacher four years ago but he got deployed. i feel they should be honored in the way that everyone respects them and treats them good.

My brother is in the military. Currently he works for some thing in the government I'm not sure what though but he has a badge and it's pretty cool looking.

I am not sure if I have or had a veteran in my family. I feel that veterans should have a parade to honor them

My great grandfather was a veteran for a while, and I think he should be honored for fighting for his country. Veterans take the risk of putting themselves into the battlefield at the price of their lives, and I think they deserve a special place in society for doing so.

In my opinion I think the people in the military and any veteran should be honored for their commitment to their country and dedication to protecting our freedom. My grandpa was in the Navy in the 1950's and he was a brave man. He's passed now but I will always remember him and many others.
